Individuals see needs within their communities and they decide to start a tax-exempt organization to deliver programs and services to meet those needs. This workshop will cover the basic research needed to start a nonprofit, the required organizational documents, and a review of IRS Form 990.

Meet our Presenter:
Dr. Dorinda Rolle is president of Rolle and Associates, a management consulting and training firm offering services to nonprofit organizations, government entities and businesses in the areas of strategy development, board development, corporate training, group facilitation, program evaluation and special projects. She is also a partner in the change management firm, Transition Management Solutions, LLC.
Dr. Rolle has held positions with various organizations in the academic, business, government and nonprofit arenas. She is an adjunct professor in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at St. Mary's University and in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also conducts executive coaching, leadership training and organizational development consulting with a wide range of organizations.
In addition to consulting and training, she is a motivational speaker to business, nonprofit organizations, women’s groups, and on college campuses. She inspires her students and audiences to set high goals and to reach for excellence. Dr. Rolle is a skilled group facilitator, known for her ability to help leaders synthesize visions and goals for their organizations. She is a graduate of several leadership programs including the Municipal Leadership Institute, African American Leadership Institute, Leadership San Antonio, Leadership Texas and the Masters Leadership Program.

If a workshop and/or class has been unexpectedly cancelled and/or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit towards another workshop and/or class will be issued. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than 48 hours before a workshop.
