About Renaissance with the Stars
Similar to the popular television show, Dancing with the Stars, star business and community leaders accept the challenge to train with a professional dancer. They compete in front of a live audience and a distinguished panel of judges to showcase their talents with one goal in mind...to raise funds and awareness about the issues and opportunities affecting African Americans in our city. Renaissance with the Stars gala is designed as an outreach event hosted by the San Antonio Area African American Community Fund
, an outreach fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation.
Since 2008, the SAAAACF has committed to unite and inspire the San Antonio area to invest in a living legacy in support of the African American community of greater San Antonio. With the help of individuals, businesses and organizations like you, we have raised over $300,000 to support the growing and critical needs of African American families, students, rising professionals, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations and our elderly.
