Successful grants management is one of the greatest challenges in the nonprofit world. This seminar will help you to understand the entire grant cycle - from concept to closeout. You will learn tips on how to satisfy your funders as you accomplish your program objectives. The program will also review sample grant monitoring systems.

This workshop is included in our Nonprofit Management Certification series and fulfills three hours in the Fundraising competency area.

Meet our Presenter:

Ryan Weber is a Senior Operations Manager at the World Resources Institute, a leading global environmental nonprofit based in Washington, DC.  He oversees grants, contracts, and financial management for ambitious projects helping countries, businesses and cities address the global challenge of climate change.  His team regularly manages six- and seven-figure grants from regional and national foundations, US and foreign governments, and multi-lateral organizations like the World Bank.  Ryan is committed to ensuring the organization’s business and financial operations reflect the same principles of integrity, innovation, and urgency that drive its core mission. 

Ryan holds an MA from Columbia University, and a BA from Trinity University, where he also served 5 years as Operations Manager and Station Manager for KRTU-FM, managing all station finances and personnel, as well as writing and executing special project grants from the Kronkosky Charitable Trust and AT&T.  He has also completed the General Nonprofit Management, Leadership, and Development certifications from the San Antonio Area Foundation, as well as the UIW Supervisory and Management certification.
