Leadership is what turns plans into realities by effectively knowing who, what, when and how to communicate to get everyone onto the team and into action. This requires a basic playbook for different strategies & modes of leadership interaction - one-to-one, one-to-several, and one-to-many. Knowing key methods that serve each one and pros and cons under different circumstances is critical to any leader's success.

This training will provide you with frameworks you can use to capture key audiences, with playbooks and methods that work. Peers will also explore how to handle some of the tricky situations that come up. Understand the pros and cons of different mediums for communication in leadership applications (as opposed to administrative ones): explosive emails and convincing conversations. Size up your audiences and their self-interest, to select the right approach and the importance of gauging their reactions in real time - what cues do I look for?

Who should attend this class?
This class is ideal for first-time managers and coordinators, individuals moving from individual performer/subject matter expert roles to group leader roles, and experienced leaders looking for a fresh perspective to tune up their personal toolset.

This class is included in our Nonprofit Management Certification series and fulfills three hours in the Leadership competency area.
