Join us for a discussion on taking corporate and nonprofit partnership relationships from transactional to transformational.

Description

Nonprofits  are highly vigilant in securing corporate and business sponsorships for events, but how often do we sit down to really get to know the community’s corporations and businesses?

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the basic reasons corporations choose nonprofit partners
  • Define and articulate a corporate partnership package
  • Integrate at least two new strategies for conveying impact to corporate partners

Who should take this class?

Development and/or marketing professionals in the development field who are seeking a greater understanding of corporate and nonprofit relations and those who are preparing to launch a program designed to create meaningful corporate/nonprofit partnerships.

This workshop is included in the Nonprofit Management Certification series and fulfills three hours in the Fundraising competency area.

Meet our Presenter:

Carrie Gray, Co-Founder and Principal of Burnam | Gray brings 25 years of progressive experience in the areas of resource development, strategy, budgeting, organizational development, community partnerships, communications and creating highly effective teams.  Carrie has led teams ranging from two people to a 28-person division focused on resource development, donor services, marketing & communications, advocacy and volunteer services.

Carrie successfully completed a $25 million multi-faceted campaign for an organization with an annual operating budget of $35 million and has created communications plans that are inclusive of the varying roles needed to maintain consistent messaging. Carrie’s most recent position has been at the San Antonio Area Foundation as Vice President of Development and Donor Services where she was responsible for leading a team of 10 professionals focused on the engagement of donors, fund development and communications.

Carrie has led and managed organizational change in each of her professional positions ranging from the creation and implementation of a new fundraising program to the retirement of an iconic President/CEO; and from program acquisition to an entire restructuring of a 28-person division.

REFUND/CREDIT POLICY: The San Antonio Area Foundation has a strict no refund policy. 
If the registrant is not able to attend the workshop and/or class, a substitute may be sent. If a workshop and/or class has been unexpectedly cancelled and/or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit towards another workshop and/or class will be issued. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than 48 hours before a workshop.
