9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This interactive workshop is designed to provide you with a basic playbook with different strategies and modes of leadership interaction.

Leadership is what turns plans into realities by effectively knowing who, what, when and how to communicate to get everyone onto the team and into action.  Successful leaders find effective tools to help develop their interpersonal leadership skills. Effective leaders understand the pros and cons of using these techniques in different situations, and the key methods for implementing each strategy.  You will leave this seminar with a workbook that captures information about some of your key audiences, and routines and methods that will work for you.  You will also have an opportunity for peer-to-peer exchange about how to handle some of the trickier situations that come up in the course of a leader’s day.

Learning Objectives:

  • Differentiate the different scopes & modes of communication interactions effective leaders must master: One to One, One to Several, One to Many, Direct, Indirect, Active, Passive and their uses
  • Understand the pros and cons of different mediums for communication in leadership applications (as opposed to administrative ones): explosive emails and convincing conversations
  • Size up your audiences and their self-interest, to select the right approach and the importance of gauging their reactions in real time - what cues do I look for?
  • Peer-to-peer problem solve on nightmare scenarios for leaders - and how to ride the wave out of them like a pro
