Description

Jack Welch, Former CEO of GE said, “The whole game of business revolves around one thing. You build the best team, you win.” Under his leadership (1981-2000), GE’s value increased 4000 percent. Teams are shaping the future of work and organizations. In response, companies invest upward of $160 billion each year on leader training and development; yet, most of those programs fail to turn ideas into habits that lead to more effective, higher-performing teams. What distinguishes exceptional teams and team leaders from the rest? This course will examine how exceptional team leaders consistently close experience-expectation gaps across key relationships.

This workshop is included in our Nonprofit Management Certification series and fulfills three hours in the Organizational Management competency area.

REFUND/CREDIT POLICY: The San Antonio Area Foundation has a no refund policy. If a workshop and/or class has been unexpectedly cancelled and/or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit towards another workshop and/or class will be issued. If a registrant is unable to attend a workshop and/or class, a substitute may be sent or a credit may be issued. No credits will be given for cancellations received less than 48 hours before a workshop.

Meet our Presenter:

Clarence Lowe is a retired US Air Force veteran and CEO and Co-founder of Star Force USA in San Antonio, Texas – a nationally respected company specializing in workforce empowerment solutions. He is an honors graduate of the School of Organizational Development at the University of Incarnate Word and an expert on issues involving leadership and change management. In his role as a Department of Defense trainer, speaker and curriculum developer, Clarence received numerous awards including the prestigious IMPACT Speaker and Master Motivator awards. Prior to Star Force USA, Clarence served as Founder and President of Imagine, a company specializing in providing  assessment, consultation and training in the areas of leadership development, change and adversity management, team building, and personal development. As an educator and motivational speaker, he is constantly seeking creative ways to foster dynamic learning environments, which promote the proper alignment of purpose, people and processes.
