The Wells Center
This community space has sparked innovation, inspired collaboration and infused energy into our philanthropic community.
Our meeting space has sparked innovation, inspired collaboration, and encouraged transformation for our community.
The Wells Center is in honor of Robert and Carolyn Beckmann Wells – a couple dedicated to making a difference in their communities. Carolyn Beckmann Wells grew up in San Antonio, and her love for her hometown motivated her to leave a generous bequest to the San Antonio Area Foundation. The endowment created by this gift allowed the Area Foundation to increase our community impact by offering meeting space for convening and training.
The Wells Center cultivates an atmosphere dedicated to serving those who make a difference. Our vision is to provide an intentional space for fostering ideas and promoting opportunity among nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and key stakeholders who make our community a better place to thrive.

Each year more than 20,000 nonprofit leaders and partners utilize our space at the Wells Center for meetings, trainings, and leadership development to inspire change for our community.
