In an era of declining resources and increasing community needs, the ability to successfully seek and acquire supplemental funding is essential for any organization. Unlike fundraising, grant writing is an art form that relies on storytelling to secure funding and resources from government agencies, foundations, corporations, or individuals. In this course you will learn how to help your organization develop and manage grants effectively through the grants’ lifecycle.
Objectives:
Develop an understanding of where and how to seek grant funding
Become familiar with local resources
Understand the grant development and management process
Create effective grant reports that demonstrate your organization’s attention to monitoring, evaluation, and learning in the grant process
Identify strategies and methodologies to construct, operate, and report on grant budgets consistently, accurately, and transparently even in sophisticated donor templates.
