In this class, learners will be provided with a comprehensive understanding of the financial statement audit process. We aim to demystify the auditing process by sharing proactive strategies for seamless and effective audit experiences. Empowering nonprofit organizations with this knowledge, this will contribute to their financial health, aid their efforts to meet regulatory obligations and reinforce their ability to secure trust from stakeholders, including donors, board members, and the community they serve.

Objectives:

  • Learn the differences between a financial statement audit, review, compilation, and agreed-upon procedures.
  • Obtain an overview of the audit process.
  • Learn key steps to being “audit” ready.

Who should attend:  Nonprofit Management Program participants, board members, Finance Committee members and nonprofit accounting or finance and program staff who assist in preparing financial statements for the CEO and the board. Registration closes October 9.
