Welcome to the San Antonio Area Foundation
...helping donors achieve their charitable goals
for the greater benefit of the community
Established in 1964, we are San Antonio's community foundation. We make grants from funds established
by individuals, families, businesses or other entities to support charitable causes in our community. The
Area Foundation has distributed more than $220 million for scholarships and grants to educate youth,
preserve the environment, protect animals, fund research and provide services that enhance the quality
of life for people living in and around San Antonio.
You can open a new fund or make a gift to an existing fund or San Antonio Area Foundation initiative.
We will work closely with you to develop a program of giving that meets your charitable goals.
Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines - How you can help
Following the devastating typhoon that hit the Philippines on November 8, UNICEF estimates that more than 40 percent of those affected by the storm are children —up to 4 million may be at risk.
UNICEF is raising funds to deliver lifesaving medicines, clean water and nutrition and hygiene supplies to children and families in the Philippines.
