Professional Advisor Council

Meet the experienced advisors partnering with the Area Foundation to turn charitable intent into community impact across South Texas. 

The Professional Advisor Council (PAC) is a select advisory group of experienced financial, legal, and tax professionals who collaborate with the San Antonio Area Foundation to strengthen charitable giving across Greater San Antonio and South Texas.

Council members are practitioners who regularly advise individuals, families, and businesses on estate planning, charitable strategies, and complex gifts. The council provides a formal channel to inform how philanthropy is structured, supported, and sustained in the region.

Hayley began her career at the firm as an intern in 2012 and became ATKG’s first internally developed partner in 2024. She works with clients across industries including real estate, oil and gas, and farm and ranch operations, helping families design individualized wealth transfer plans.

Advising with Purpose ​

The Professional Advisor Council serves as a strategic advisory body to the San Antonio Area Foundation.

Its role is to provide practitioner insight that helps the Foundation:  

  • Strengthen donor services and advisor-facing resources  
  • Stay responsive to changes in tax law, estate planning, and charitable tools  
  • Identify emerging opportunities and challenges in philanthropy  
  • Improve how charitable strategies translate into community impact 

Council members do not make grant decisions or manage funds. Instead, they contribute real-world perspective drawn from advising clients and navigating complex philanthropic decisions. 

Join the Council

Interested in serving on the San Antonio Area Foundation’s Professional Advisor council? 

Professional advisors from San Antonio and the surrounding region can apply to become members. Members are selected based on professional experience, engagement with charitable planning, and commitment to strengthening philanthropy in South Texas. They commit to two-year terms and convene six times per year. 

Applications are currently closed. 
Applications open at the beginning of each calendar year.
