Inspiring, Mentoring and Sustaining Nonprofit Executives.
The HOLT Values-Based Leadership™ Fellows Program is a unique, interactive leadership development program for 501(c)(3) executives. The program provides training to nonprofit CEOs, from those new to the role to seasoned executives, as well as senior-level leaders poised for executive leadership. Senior-level leaders include those in roles who report directly to the CEO, manage a departmental budget and oversee staff.
The curriculum for the 9-month program centers around the HOLT’s Values Based Leadership™ model and other proven leadership concepts developed and implemented by HOLT CAT over the last 30 years. Other local experts provide training in communication, succession planning, and more.

The program helped me to think deeply about who I am as a leader and examine my strengths and weaknesses. I was also able to immediately apply some of the things we learned to my own organization and put them into practice immediately. The experience has made me a stronger, more confident leader, and has also helped me to connect with my peers in the San Antonio Non-Profit community. My only piece of constructive feedback is that I would have liked the program to spread across a longer period of time. There was simply so many wonderful things to learn about, that I could not cognitively absorb them all throughout the period of time that we met. Thank you for providing this opportunity to San Antonio!

This program has been truly transformative, offering invaluable insights that I will carry forward in both my personal and professional life. The variety of tools and frameworks provided have not only enhanced my leadership capabilities but have also deepened my understanding of the importance of adaptability, effective communication, and team dynamics. The presenters were knowledgeable and engaging, and the materials were both relevant and practical. I particularly appreciated how each session was structured to allow for real-world application, which made the learning experience both impactful and immediately usable. One area I found especially valuable was the flexibility to incorporate creative and personalized approaches to leadership, which is something I plan to continue exploring. The course navigation was smooth and easy to follow, ensuring that the focus remained on learning rather than on logistical concerns. I would encourage the continuation of providing ample opportunities for hands-on exercises and peer discussions, as these moments were critical for reinforcing learning and building connections with others. Overall, I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program, and I look forward to continuing my leadership journey with the tools and lessons learned here. Thank you for this enriching experience!” -2024/2025Fellows graduate
