Board members are responsible for advancing their organization’s mission. Strengthen your nonprofit board with The Art of Board Leadership on Saturday, December 9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This highly interactive session will explore best practices in nonprofit governance and look at the board’s responsibility to protect the agency’s assets and provide financial oversight. Guest speakers will discuss the achievements and challenges they have experienced in these roles.
Objectives: Participants will leave the session with clear understanding of effective governance, committee structures, the board and chief executive partnership, understanding financial statements, awareness of Form 990 its implications for fundraising, and ensuring financial integrity.
