Yes. The Confluence Fellowship is the next evolution of the former Equity Fellowship. In response to feedback from past cohorts and community partners, the program has been renamed to better reflect its growing focus on leader well-being, belonging, and the deep relationships that make collective impact possible. The word confluence honors San Antonio’s rich history and reflects the spirit of the program: a meeting place where leaders, communities, and ideas come together in bold and meaningful ways.
The program is open to any nonprofit leader (board member, executive director, or senior level staff) in Bexar and surrounding counties.
In addition to completing the application, a letter of support from the applicant’s sponsoring organization and a letter of recommendation from a professional reference is required. The supporting documents should come from two different individuals.
Expect each class session to be a full day. Most class sessions begin between 8:30 am and 9:00 am and end between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm. In addition to attending each class session, fellows will be required to complete a capstone project during the program. Time spent on the capstone project will vary and be determined by each fellow.
To advance impact, each fellow will be asked to complete a capstone project for their organization by addressing one challenge connected to closing opportunity gaps and promoting justice and inclusion.
We will select up to 24 applicants to participate in the program. The ideal cohort size is between 15-20.
The program is designed to be relational and encourages individuals to share personal stories and demonstrate vulnerability during the program. With that in mind, we intentionally plan for all sessions to be held in person.
Yes. Due to the relational nature and foundation of building trust within the cohort, it is expected that Fellows will participate in all class sessions. If you plan to apply, we suggest you hold the session dates on your calendar now in case you are selected.
