The Armando Jude Medina Fund was established in memory of Armando “Mando” Medina to support the interests and causes that he championed and devoted his life to pursuing, preserving, and sharing with others.

A creative, compassionate, and humble native of San Antonio, Armando strived to uplift and unite people through music and nature, and to foster a love and appreciation of the less fortunate, animals and the outdoors in all who knew him.

An avid guitarist and songwriter, he enjoyed music, education, and teaching students to strum and sing, imparting more than lessons in melody, but also in the power of music to hearten humanity, bridge divides and build confidence and community.

He cherished the outdoors and open spaces and was a great advocate for animals, encouraging ethical treatment and adoption in honor of his beloved pets.

Through the Armando Jude Medina Fund, we hope to continue Mando’s legacy of creating community, joy, and harmony in San Antonio and beyond by supporting educational programs that provide opportunity to the less fortunate, the advancement of music, and the humane treatment of animals.
