Can anything say we’re returning to normalcy in San Antonio more than being able to party FIESTA-style?! It may be a bit downsized, but it feels so good to have this truly deeply-rooted (all the way back to 1891!) SA tradition back!
Here at the Area Foundation, we couldn’t be happier to share in this time of joy and feast. And what better way to share than by giving away our awesome FIESTA medal? Right?! Follow us on social media for our post on the medal giveaway and how you could be the lucky winner.
What kind of FIESTA celebration could we have in San Antonio without all kinds of mouth-watering dishes? That’s why we’ve teamed up with our good friends at CHEF (Culinary Health Education for Families) for an exclusive look at some yummy FIESTA recipes! What’s that you say? Haven’t heard of CHEF before? It’s a community-based program which teaches families basic nutrition and practical cooking skills with the ultimate objective of reducing our city’s high obesity and diabetes rates. You didn’t think you could combine FIESTA with healthy dishes? We and our friends at CHEF beg to differ! From delish tostadas, fruit ceviche and even traditional staples such as arroz con pollo and (of course!) tacos, they’ve come up with some great offerings.
