Harvey E. Najim Charitable Foundation Scholarship

The Harvey E. Najim Charitable Foundation Scholarship was established in 2017 honoring Mr. Najim’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and those in need in San Antonio. The Fund has awarded more than $2.8 million to over 250 students since its inception.

The Harvey E. Najim Charitable Foundation Scholarship accepts applications Dec. 1 – Feb. 24 annually.

Note: The 2024 application is for scholarships that will be disbursed for the Fall 2025 semester.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • You are a graduating high school senior residing in one of the following counties:
    • Bexar, Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, Wilson.
  • You are enrolled in a full-time (12 hours or more credit hours) undergraduate course of study at one of the following accredited two- or four-year San Antonio colleges or universities in the state of Texas:
    • Alamo Colleges District (Palo Alto College, St. Phillip’s College, San Antonio College, Northeast Lakeview College, and Northwest Vista College).
    • Hallmark University.
    • Our Lady of the Lake of San Antonio.
    • St. Mary’s University.
    • Texas A&M University San Antonio.
    • Trinity University.
    • University of Texas at San Antonio.
    • University of the Incarnate Word.
    • UT Health Science Center at San Antonio.
  • You have a minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale for high school.
  • You have demonstrated a financial need.
  • You are a U.S. citizen.

The Harvey E. Najim Charitable Foundation Scholarship is a multi-year scholarship for up to three (3) additional years of academic work or until receiving a bachelors degree. You must submit a renewal form each semester to be considered for renewal and maintain a 2.75 GPA. You must continue full-time enrollment and also maintain enrollment at one of the qualified college or universities listed above.
