Funding Purpose
During unprecedented times, the San Antonio Area Foundation is committed to help the community respond and recover. The COVID-19 Response Fund was created by the Area Foundation and the United Way of San Antonio Bexar County, and multiple partners, to call forth the strengths and resiliency of our community in response to the COVID-19 health pandemic of 2020.
Together, the San Antonio Area Foundation and multiple partners, established a fund available for general operating grants for area nonprofit organizations most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Our ability to leverage relationships within our community allowed us to provide support to over 200 organizations with a community investment totaling $6.4M.
We want to thank our co-partner, the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County for their collaborative efforts as we answered the call for action during this time of immense need.
