Training for Nonprofits

The Area Foundation offers a range of nonprofit-related courses and workshops to build your capacity and sustain your organization. 

Our Leadership Development programs are designed to build skills for mid-level managers to Executives and Board members.

Where Should You Start?

Resource Info Sessions:

To learn more about the programs and resources the Area Foundation offers for nonprofits, attend one of our Resource Information Sessions. You’ll learn about and our agency funds, training and professional development for nonprofits, our membership program and our library.

Guidelines

As a Candid partner, the Area Foundation is a member of a global network of more than 400 libraries, community foundations, and other resource centers that, for more than 50 years, have been bringing vital funding data and knowledge to the nonprofit community. This includes access to the Foundation Directory Online, a powerful search tool, that has information on over 240,000 U.S. Foundations. Nonprofits can visit our library to search the Directory for access to information about grantmakers and the grant they’ve made.

Meeting Space

We offer 8,000 square feet to the community with a range of meeting rooms for 8 to 120 people.

Nonprofit organizations are able use our onsite conference rooms at a highly subsidized rate for educational and charitable purposes. With free parking at the centrally-located Pearl and onsite amenities, our rooms book up quickly. Though any qualified 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 170(c)(1) entity can utilize our space, nonprofit members have additional privileges.
