In addition to our grantmaking, investment and endowment services, and leadership on key community-wide initiatives the Area Foundation offers nonprofits a range of additional programs and resources.

Meeting Space

We offer 8,000 square feet to the community with a range of meeting rooms for 8 to 120 people.

Please note that our space is currently remains closed to the general public.
 

Nonprofit organizations are able use our onsite conference rooms at a highly subsidized rate for educational and charitable purposes. With free parking at the centrally-located Pearl and onsite amenities, our rooms book up quickly. Though any qualified 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 170(c)(1) entity can utilize our space, nonprofit members have additional privileges.

Training & Classes

Affordable learning opportunities led by nonprofit experts

The Area Foundation offers a range of nonprofit-related courses and certificate programs to build your capacity and sustain your organization. In addition, we regularly partner with university faculty and world-class businesses to bring you our training programs.

Executive Leadership Programs

The Area Foundation offers the HOLT Advanced Leadership Program that prepares nonprofit CEOs/Executive Directors new and established as well as senior-level leaders to lead their organizations during a time of transition

Board Training

The Area Foundation hosts training sessions on board governance, financial oversight and fundraising, as well as a board "boot camp" – for both new and seasoned nonprofit board members.  At times, we hold a conference that addresses a special board topic.

The supplier for the directory, Candid, allows nonprofits to search the Foundation Directory remotely because of the trusted and long-term partnership with the Area Foundation. Through a day pass, users create an account that allows them to search remotely for a 24-hour period, every 30 days. To access the Foundation Directory remotely, please email learning@saafdn.org.
