Responsive Grants

Offering general operating support through equity-based grantmaking to help organizations in meeting their mission.

Funding Purpose

Our Responsive Grants process is built to leverage community leadership, foster collaboration, and support nonprofits in lasting change in our region.  By providing two-year, general operating support, we take an asset-based approach-empowering organizations to focus on their mission and deliver programs that change lives.

At the heart of this work is our vision: to close opportunity gaps for those who need it most.  Through trust-based philanthropy, we build relationships rooted in transparency and respect, helping nonprofits plan confidently to better meet the needs of the communities they serve.

Responsive Grants focus on five key impact areas:

  • Animal Services
  • Cultural Vibrancy
  • Livable and Resilient Communities
  • Successful Aging
  • Youth Success

Beyond grantmaking, we strengthen nonprofits through capacity building, peer learning, and strategic partnerships – because strong organizations build resilient and thriving communities.

New for 2026:

We’ve created a grant guidance document to make the process clearer and more supportive. This resource outlines our priorities, eligibility, timelines, and additional ways we partner with nonprofits beyond funding.
