Each year, The San Antonio Area African American Community Fund raises dollars for their mission by hosting an exciting and major fundraising event modeled after “Dancing with the Stars” and with the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance. Like the show, San Antonio celebrities including CEOs, Elected Officials, Community Advocates, Church Leaders and our very own VP of Development and Donor Services, Lisa Brunsvold, perform their dance routine with a professional dancer. The spirit is captured through additional entertainment from San Antonio’s best performers.
This year’s event will be back at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Audience members will be highly entertained. They will be provided opportunity to watch the event live as an event sponsor or to enjoy in the comfort of their home virtually. Audience members vote for their favorite dancers by donating contributions prior to and on the day of the event.

SAAACF’s mission is to improve the livelihood of those in or supporting the African American community. The Fund provides funding support to nonprofits, addresses social injustices through its new Social Justice Fund, and supports community businesses through the African American Dream Maker Fund.
