Danette Honesto was a loyal employee who worked for the Group for over ten years. During that time, she touched the lives of many employees, patients and family members through her generosity and warm-hearted spirit. She had a certain light about her that would shine anywhere she went. She was one who never turned down a request to help people in need. Danette lived for her children, loved her family, worked hard for others, and brought happiness to all.
The Danette Honesto Scholarship Program (DHSP) is supported by all those who loved, supported, and benefited from her energy and patience, and by those who continue to love and support what she stood for. Her commitment to others was passionate and generous but carried out firmly and with grace. The Danette Honesto Scholarship Program is offered to dependents of employees of the Group to help support the academic goals and aspirations of students pursuing their goals of higher education.
The DHSP is for employee dependents of Sonterra Medical Management Group who have successfully completed six months of employment. This scholarship is a financial award based on academic achievement, merit, and promise. These scholarships do not have to be repaid. Thank you so much for the scholarship. I feel truly honored to have been chosen as a recipient of this gift. Thank you for supporting me as I further my education at the University of the Incarnate Word. I will be studying to become a pharmacist, and this scholarship will help me achieve that goal. Thank you again for the scholarship and support.

I am truly honored to receive the Danette Honesto Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2,500, and I am writing to you to thank you for your generosity. By awarding me this scholarship, you have helped to alleviate my family of some of the financial stress of paying for college. I will be attending Texas A&M University in the fall as part of the Blinn TEAM program, and I will be majoring in Applied Mathematical Sciences. I am registered to take 14 credit hours in the fall, and I am excited for classes to begin. Once again, thank you for your kindness and generosity.
