Our city’s most trusted & impactful philanthropic partner moves from Pearl to Concord

The San Antonio Area Foundation is on the move, literally.

After a decade at The Pearl, the Area Foundation will be relocating to Concord Plaza, across U.S. 281 from Alamo Quarry Market.

The new office space is being redesigned to suit the Area Foundation team. A forthcoming announcement will be made as to when doors to our new office will open to the public. All Area Foundation work will continue as normal during the transition, with in-person programming – such as professional development workshops and certificate programs – shifting to virtual format during the transition.

Area Foundation leadership expressed great anticipation and excitement surrounding the move, noting that it will provide for the organization’s enhanced role as a community convener, particularly in offering first-class meeting and training space for our closest partners – our city’s many nonprofits.

“We’re thankful for our time at the Pearl and now we have an opportunity to create a new home for our team,” said Marjie French, CEO of the Area Foundation. “We truly can’t wait to show the new space to our employees and to the community at large.”

We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this transition process. Stay on top of the latest updates on our headquarters relocation through our websitenewsletter and on social media.
