Some scholarships fund a student's education in a specific area of study, or to attend a fund advisor's alma mater or award scholarships to students from a specific high school.

Duncan Scholars Program Scholarship

Eligible applicants must be children (qualified to be covered by Enterprise Products Company benefits) of an Enterprise Products Company employee who has at least three years of service by the date the scholarship application closes. Awards may be renewed for a total of 8 semesters toward the student’s first undergraduate program. Students must be attending a nonprofit, accredited institution in the United States. Eligible applicants who do not receive an award in any given year are encouraged to re-apply in the following year.

Feeding Student Success Scholarship

Must currently live or will attend school within 25 miles of a Whataburger, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate course of study at an accredited two- or four- year college or university or vocational/technical school.

Open: Thursday, December 1, 2022
Deadline: Friday, February 24, 2023


Valero Scholarship

Student must be dependent child of a full-time, active employee of Valero Services, Inc., have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be a high school graduating senior, freshman, or sophomore in college when applying.

Dan L Duncan Houston Safari Club Foundation Scholars

Course of Study: Wildlife Management and/or Range Management

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Texas college or university
  • Studying Wildlife Management and/or Range Management
  • Cumulative 3.0 on 4.0
  • Must qualify as a Junior in college university
  • Preference will be given to applicant that demonstrate a positive hunting advocacy viewpoint with respect to wildlife management and land management
  • Preference will be given to students who are active hunters
  • Preference will be given to applicants that demonstrate strong leadership abilities
  • Must be willing to participate in a panel interview as a part of application review

Whataburger Family Foundation Scholarship Fund

Available for all areas of study.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate
  • Cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 
  • U. S. Citizen or legal resident of the U.S., currently residing in the U.S
  • Planning to enroll in a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate course of study
  • Planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university or technical/vocational school
  • Demonstrate financial need

OPEN: January 9, 2023

CLOSES: February 24, 2023


CITGO Distinguished Scholars Program

Available for all areas of study.

  • Must be a junior in high school at time of application
  • Must be enrolled in a high within ALIEF ISD, HOUSTON ISD or SPRING BRANCH ISD
  • Full-time or Part-time accepted
  • Planning to enroll/attend a 2- or 4-year college or university
  • Cumulative 2.5 on 4.0
  • CANNOT be a dependent of a CITGO Petroleum employee or an ABC 13 employee
